Third Eye Brewing Company, originally based in Sharonville, Ohio, expanded to Hamilton by renovating a historic former Pepsi bottling plant near downtown. Furlong Construction of Crescent Springs, Kentucky, was selected by Third Eye’s owners to manage the construction. The project’s mix of retrofitted engineering, new construction, and accessibility requirements posed challenges, leading Furlong to partner with Hollaender Manufacturing for the railing system. The Interna-Rail® 2-Line with Aluminum Mesh Infill served dual purposes: it provided safety guardrails for the back-of-house brewing area and ADA-compliant ramp while doubling as a striking centerpiece for the open-air patio. The mesh infill enhanced the patio’s airy, inviting feel, complementing the brewery’s ambiance. A clear anodized finish paired seamlessly with the multicolored barn wood façade of the repurposed industrial building, while the aluminum railing ensured consistent design and exceptional corrosion resistance throughout the facility. Hollaender overcame project-specific hurdles by fabricating a custom self-closing gate for stair access in the dining area and tailored assist rail brackets for the ADA ramp. Furlong enlisted Integrity SC of Cincinnati, Ohio, for installation. Integrity SC owner Mark Bill noted, “Hollaender supplied the Interna-Rail® system in lengths up to 24 feet, enabling our crew to meet tight deadlines on-time. It’s, by far, the easiest railing system we’ve ever installed.”
